A farmer driving a combine knocked over a Midwest Electric power pole and caused a power outage for about 930 customers in western Allen and northern Auglaize counties. The accident occurred at 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, near Grubb Road north of Spencerville Road, and power was restored by 6:30 p.m.
