About 77 homes and farms in areas around Glynwood Road northwest of Wapakoneta were without power late Thursday afternoon, July 16. The outage started at 3:40 p.m. and power was expected to be restored by 5:15 p.m.

The outage started when a cable company contractor working on cable TV lines inadvertently caused Midwest Electric's power lines to knock together, thereby opening up a protective circuit breaker.
